Renovated HSC coffee shop to reopen as Jazzmans at Cavanaughs

Cavanaugh’s, the coffee shop at the Health Sciences Center has recently undergone renovations by WVU Dining Services and the café will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25 as Jazzmans at Cavanaugh’s.

The updated coffee shop will offer a wider variety of coffee and café drinks, as well as fresh bakery items and grab-and-go favorites, such as sandwiches and sushi — much the same as the Jazzmans location at the Mountainlair.

Café Evansdale to highlight Parisian cuisine during CityScapes lunch

Café Evansdale will be offering items that have a French theme, as the dining hall hosts a Paris-themed lunch for a CityScapes event Wednesday, Jan. 27.

CityScapes events allow diners to experience the flavors of a particular city without having to travel. This menu inspired by Paris will include items such as Coq au Vin, Ratatouille, Beef Bourguignon, Chocolate Mousse, and more during the 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. lunch time.

Grocery store opens at The Market @UPlace, enhanced coffee shop to open at HSC

On Monday, Jan. 11, the Market @ UPlace officially opened the grocery portion of the store with shelves stocked and grab-and-go items at the ready.

The grocery joins Starbucks at the location, which opened at the beginning of the fall semester, to offer groceries including produce, meats, sundries and frozen foods, as well as grab-and-go food items. The location, which is operated by WVU Dining Services, replaces the formerly empty storefront where Sheetz used to be at University Place.

Sodexo to hold digital and socially distanced job fair

Sodexo and WVU Dining Services are holding a job fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4.

Sodexo, which operates dining services at West Virginia University, is hiring for full- and part-time team members of various experience levels for several on-campus jobs, including food service workers, dishwashers, cashiers, cooks, supervisors and more. WVU Dining Services is hiring for student worker positions on campus. A variety of shifts are available at one of the many on-campus locations which include dining halls, retail restaurant locations, and coffee shops.
