Celebrate Halloween and Dia de los Muertos with WVU Dining Services

WVU Dining Services invites students to join the annual Halloween Spooktacular on Thursday, October 31, at all three dining halls. Please note that dining halls will close at 2 p.m. for event preparations and will reopen at 4:30 p.m. to serve dinner.

In addition, Adobo Cantina at Café Evansdale will host a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration in collaboration with WVU student organization Mi Gente from Thursday, October 31, through Saturday, November 2.

Dia de los Muertos is a traditional Mexican holiday that honors the dead. Students can join the celebration on Thursday, October 31, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. by decorating sugar skulls and sharing a photo of a loved one. To include a photo on the ofrenda, email it to Chef Monica at monica.gaarz@sodexo.com by noon on October 31.

Please note that Adobo Cantina will not serve dinner on October 31.

The celebrations continue on Friday, November 1, and Saturday, November 2, with special meals served during lunch and dinner at Café Evansdale.
