New dining hall communication system allows for instant feedback

WVU Dining Services has a new way for diners to give instant feedback to the team at the dining halls.

MyDtxt is currently in use at Café Evansdale, Hatfields and Summit Café, and is a way for diners to text questions, suggestions, comments, or other feedback to the dining hall managers.

“This is a tool we feel will be vital for students to interact with us in real time to celebrate wins in the dining halls, help the team provide fast solutions to any issues, and also answer questions,” WVU Dining General Manager Evan Jacobsen said.

To provide feedback, diners can text the dining hall-specific keyword to 82257 and someone from the dining hall team will be able to communicate back in real time. The keywords are:

  • HFDINING for Hatfield's
  • EDALEDINING for Cafe Evansdale
  • SUMDINING for Summit Cafe

There are signs throughout the dining halls with information about how the program works and handouts that diners can take so they can feel comfortable using the program.
