Based on feedback from students and parents, WVU Dining Services is making some changes to the Go 10, Go 13 and Go Anytime dining plans.
Beginning this fall, students with a Go 10, Go 13 or Go Anytime plan can use up to two of their existing meal swipes per week (10 swipes for the Go 10 plan, 13 swipes for the Go 13 plan and unlimited swipes for the Go Anytime plan) to purchase a combo meal at most retail dining locations on campus.
Retail dining locations include those at Evansdale Crossing, Health Sciences and the Mountainlair, as well as other locations across campus. Panda Express is an independent franchise and is excluded from this offer.
Previously, meal swipes could only be used within WVU Dining Halls ( Café Evansdale, Hatfields and Summit Café).
To use a meal swipe at a retail dining location, students should present their WVUID card to the cashier when purchasing a combo meal and tell the cashier the meal should be paid via a meal swipe.
Each retail meal swipe is worth up to $8.85 in value. However, any additional items ordered beyond a combo meal (e.g., extra side dishes, specialty drinks, deserts, etc.) can be paid for using Dining Dollars, Mountie Bounty, cash or card.
As with all meal swipes, the two retail dining swipes will not roll over from week to week, so students should be sure to use their swipes before they expire (Saturday through Friday). Similarly, cash balances for any combo meal that costs less than $8.85 will not roll over to the student’s next purchase.
As a reminder, the last day for students to change their dining plan online ( mymountaineercard.wvu.edu) is Sunday, Aug. 7. The last day students can request changes to their plan is Friday, Sept. 2. Students can request changes by contacting WVU Dining Services.
Fall dining plans will be active and available for use from Monday, Aug. 8 through Saturday, Dec. 17 (until noon).
