WVU Dining Services bringing flavor of Brazil to Morgantown

The cuisine of Brazil will be celebrated Thursday, March 10, when WVU Dining Services brings back its popular Global Chef program to all three dining halls.

Chef Jessica Bueno of Brazil will be virtually sharing the cuisine of her country with WVU. Chef Jessica began her culinary studies with the goal of being a gastronomic critic to unite her passions of writing and eating. During an internship, she had an opportunity to cook and fell in love with it. After completing school, she worked as a buffet chef, hosting weddings, social and corporate events, and in 2019 she joined Sodexo Brazil.

The Brazilian station will be offered during lunch at Hatfields, and during dinner at Café Evansdale and Summit Café. The station will feature: Carbonnades Flamandes (Flemish Stew); Pommes de Terre Ecrasse (Smashed Yukon Potatoes); Salmon in Passion Fruit Crust with Banana Puree; Sweet Potato, Beet & Bean Tartar Tomato Stuffed with Palm; Cream Cheese Mousse with Guava Confit; and Tartelette Au Chocolate (Chocolate Ganache Tart).
