Seneca Hall & Campus Dining
Logistics surrounding WVU Campus Dining and WVU's newest residence hall
In January of 2017, West Virginia University announced that Arnold Hall will be closed for the 2017-2018 school year. Students will now have the option of living in Seneca Hall, a part of the University Place Apartments complex. Many members of the class of 2021 have already started enrolling in housing and purchasing dining plans, and the announcement that Seneca Hall is open to students may cause changes in those plans. WVU Dining wanted to share a few notes of clarity as students living in Seneca Hall prepare to arrive on campus in August:
Seneca Hall is considered a WVU residence hall. It is a unique facility among WVU residence halls in that the apartments will have kitchens, unlike a traditional "dorm room". It is WVU policy that all students living in WVU residence halls must purchase a dining plan. Having a dining plan allows for first-year students to smoothly transition into the college lifestyle that will define their next four years.
The closest WVU Dining locations near Seneca Hall are Summit Cafe and Summit Grab n Go, which are located less than one block away in Summit Hall.
