Who is able to purchase the faculty and staff dining plans?

Faculty and staff dining plans are available to all full-time, benefits eligible employees. At this time, faculty and staff dining plans are not available to student workers or part-time employees.

Are faculty and staff dining plans available at all campuses?

Yes. In Morgantown, faculty and staff dining plans may be used at any residential dining location. At WVU Institute of Technology, the plans may be used at the Bears Den. At WVU Potomac State College, the plans may be used at The Commons.

How do I use the dining plan?

The faculty and staff dining plan will be loaded onto your WVU ID card, which you can swipe at the dining facilities to use your plan. Your WVU ID card will work for both meal swipes and Dining Dollars.

May I use my dining plan to purchase a meal for a colleague, student, guest or family member?

Absolutely. Just swipe your WVU ID card to purchase a meal for someone else.

How do I pay for the faculty and staff dining plan?

To purchase a plan, complete the request form. Payment may be made by credit/debit card, check or payroll deduction.

May I change my plan after I purchase it?

You are not able to change your plan after you purchase it; however, when your plan runs out, you may purchase another plan.

May I use my meal swipes at retail dining locations?

The meal swipes on the faculty and staff dining plan are available for use at any residential dining location. If you select the Staff 50+ plan that comes with $100 in Dining Dollars, you may use the Dining Dollars at on-campus retail/restaurant locations.

How can I check my dining plan or Dining Dollar balance?

Balances for dining plans and Dining Dollars can be viewed at mymountaineercard.wvu.edu.

Do swipes expire at the end of the semester or school year?

No. Swipes do not expire as long as you remain a WVU benefits-eligible employee.

Is there a certain sign-up time for the dining plans?

No. Dining plans may be purchased at any time of the year.
