Mindful

Mindful is an implemented concept created to promote healthy eating environments for customers. 


WVU Dining is working to help students make healthier choices. Mindful options meet strict nutritional guides and helps make healthy eating easier! Using Mindful choices, students can enjoy satisfying meals and snacks that have fewer calories.
 
Mindful options must meet the following nutrition criteria: 

For Plates (containing at least 1 serving from each: protein, starch, veg/fruit):
Less than or equal to:
  • 600 kcals
  • 35% of calories from fat
  • No trans. fat
  • 100 mg of cholesterol
  • 800 mg of sodium
For Entrees: 
Less than or equal to
  • 550 kcals
  • 35% of calories from fat
  • No trans. fat
  • 100 mg of cholesterol
  • 700 mg of sodium

For Sides:
Less than or equal to
  • 225 kcals
  • 35% of calories from fat
  • No trans. fat
  • 5 mg of cholesterol
  • 300 mg of sodium
For Soups (8oz):
Less than or equal to
  • 225 kcals
  • 35% of calories from fat
  • No trans. fat
  • 25 mg of cholesterol
  • 700 mg of sodium
For Desserts & Snacks:
Less than or equal to
  • 200 kcals
  • 35% of calories from fat
  • No trans. fat
  • 20 mg of cholesterol
  • 300 mg of sodium
