Our dining plans come with “meal swipes” and “Dining Dollars.” In addition, students also can use Mountie Bounty.

Meal Swipes
This is a single transaction used to eat one meal at any accepting dining facilities. Meal swipes vary for different dining locations per dining plan.

Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars can be used at any on-campus dining location. They are used to 1) make purchases instead of using meal plan swipes and 2) when a daily or weekly limit of meal plan swipes has been reached. Dining Dollars can also be used to treat a friend or family member to a meal at a residential dining hall. At the end of the fall semester, remaining Dining Dollars will roll over to the spring but expire at the end of the 2019-20 school year. Additional Dining Dollars can be purchased at any time. Note: Dining Dollars are not taxable.

Mountie Bounty
This is a pre-paid debit plan that can be used at every dining location and at any many other businesses on and off campus like CVS, IHOP, McDonalds, Panera Bread, Sheetz and more. You can add funds to Mountie Bounty via credit card payment. Balances carry forward to the next semester, and refunds can be requested upon graduation. Mountie Bounty can be refilled at any time at mymountaineercard.wvu.eduNote: The Mountie Bounty program is taxable.
